My wife is in the right business, jewelry. She loves to buy jewelry, wear jewelry, sell jewelry and anything else you can think of related to jewelry. This time, for our Fall buying trip, we had a plan and a set budget weeks before we left home and it was set in stone. Mushy, soft stone. The kind that crumbles in your hand. With badge in hand we entered into the holy of hollies, the buying room. There were no less than 600 vendors set up with all the latest styles and jewels. I turned to say something to my wife and she was gone. All that was left was a vapor, like the “road runner” used to leave in those old cartoons. When I finally found her the damage had already been done. She had a smile on her face and enough invoices in her hand to keep a small family warm through the winter if burned. No problem!! If we can’t pay our bills we’ll be the best looking hobo’s in town.

My wife and I are on a business trip in Philly, PA, nice place. We are here for 4 days for a fun filled time of seminars, food and buying jewelry. Jewelers know how to party and drink alot. And when they drink, they buy more jewelry than they should. That is why we stay pretty sober. I can see me getting loose and bringing home some butt ugly jewels that I will have to explain later. I already have enough trouble explaining some of the designs I create. Not all of them are “winners”. So remember, in about two weeks lots of new styles and designs will be comming to our store.
